Background

‍In 2020 Zeb Powell became the first black athlete to win an X Games gold medal, solidifying him in history. The world didn’t know a lot about Zeb at the time but they knew he rode a snowboard unlike anyone else and that he was a trailblazer. Zeb wanted them to know more. He was only 21 and knew that a lot of his experiences in life hadn’t come yet and he knew that if he started to explore his other interests doors would fling open for him.

Solve

Only a year after winning X Games gold, Zeb started to show serious interest in fashion both on the slopes and off. In an effort to continue to bring his unique narrative to the world we knew that only one publication would do him justice… Flaunt Magazine. In a seven-page spread, his first ever real fashion spread, Zeb opened up about various sides of him that fans hadn’t seen before, bringing snowboarding into the fashion industry.

Result

‍After his Flaunt launch, Zeb found himself in the center of the fashion world; being invited to shows at NY Fashion Week, having his snowboots worn as streetwear by some of the top models and athletes in the game.
